I embarked on a theological career when I entered the Matana Theological Institute from 1997-2000. I continued at Uganda Christian University in Mukono from 2002-2004. In 2008, I attended Texas Christian University in the USA, where I obtained a Master’s degree in Missiology. In the meantime, I attended other universities including the International Leadership University and the African Democracy Institute in Kenya and South Africa respectively.
I have worked with national and international NGOs such as the Giramahoro Peace Center and fhi360. Since 2015, I have worked with Care International’s geographical partners in Burundi on sexual and reproductive health education projects: Biraturaba from 2015 to 2016, Menyumenyeshe from 2017 to 2020 and Tubakarorero from 2021 to the present day.
Although religious, I am comfortable in my work because four of my seven research papers deal with theological insights into often controversial topics such as family planning and sexual and reproductive health education in general.
