Delivery of covid-19 Prevention Assistance Kits to 340 VSLA supervisors

Within the framework of prevention against COVID-19, Iprosarude, with the support of Segal Family Foundation, has delivered a kit that will help VSLA (Villages Saving and Loans Associations) supervisors in sensitizing communities against COVID-19 barrier measures.  This was on October 26-27, in the three intervention zones. These were the supervisors from the provinces of Gitega, Kayanza and Mwaro. In total, more than 340 agents received a kit consisting of masks, registers, umbrella, boots and a backpack.

A kit that arrives at the right time according to the beneficiaries, because before it was difficult to go from village to village in this rainy season. They are delighted and thank Iprosarude who keeps on proving that health promotion is one of his priorities.

“Iprosarude first gave us training on the new coronavirus. We learned how the coronavirus is transmitted and how much of a threat it is to people around the world. Today we have mastered the barrier gestures against the coronavirus. We have a responsibility to raise awareness in our communities. Before this kit, it was difficult because there is a lot of rain these days. These boots and umbrella will help us a lot. And in this register we could write down the themes of sensitization but also note the VSLA members sensitized and other people. These masks are also useful to protect against the new coronavirus. Above all, this backpack will help us to keep the masks and record. Thank you very much to Iprosarude,”

said Mrs. Gloriose Nzikobanyanka, a framing agent for a VSLA, at Mubuga Hill in Gitega Province.

It should be noted that the distribution operations were enhanced by the presence of the provincial doctors as well as the communal administrators. This is a clear proof of the good collaboration between Iprosarude and the local administration.
