World Art Day: IPROSARUDE mentors innovative youth

The proclamation of World Art Day, aimed at promoting the development, dissemination and enjoyment of art, took place at the 40th session of the UNESCO General Conference in 2019.

Art nurtures creativity, innovation, and cultural diversity for all people of the world and plays an important role in sharing knowledge and encouraging curiosity and dialogue. These are qualities that art has always had and will always have if we continue to support environments that promote and protect artists and artistic freedom. In this sense, the development of art also contributes to the realization of a free and peaceful world.

Every year on April 15, World Art Day celebrations help to strengthen the links between artistic creations and society, promote greater awareness of the diversity of artistic expressions and highlight the contribution of artists to sustainable development. It is also an opportunity to put the spotlight back on arts education in schools because culture can pave the way for an inclusive and equitable education.

With this in mind, IPROSARUDE mentors young artists. It is fair to say that at Iprosarude it is the era of innovation of youth.

Already trained, these young people create works of art from recycled materials such as: discarded paper, magazines, cardboard, plastic bottles, cans and milk cartons.

By combining recycling and creativity, they give them a second life and bring out a breathtaking piece of art.

The works of art of these young people are then sold and thus they can contribute to the expenses of their families, pay their studies,…  . Thus, IPROSARUDE has created employment for these young people.
