As part of Menyumenyeshe Project, IPROSARUDE in partnership with Care International Burundi conducted mass sensitization activities since 2017 in different provinces of Burundi. For this year of 2019, a second mass sensitization session was conducted in 4 provinces namely: Kirundo, Muyinga, Kayanza and Gitega. In total, 8 communes were concerned by this activity and more than 18 000 persons were sensitized.
As part of the VSLA strategy, IPROSARUDE organized VSLA capacity building in Gatara commune precisely at Muhingira hill. This capacity building targeted VSLA’s members and VSLA’s supervisors of Kayanza and Gatara communes.
From October 14th 2019, IPROSARUDE (Initiative pour la promotion de la Santé Rurale et le Développement) is equivalent to a U.S public charity. An ED certificate for the organization is now available. EDCertified INITIATIVE POUR LA PROMOTION DE LA SANTE RURALE ET LE DEVELOPPEMENT
As part of the development of the HUB center initiated by IPROSARUDE, an entrepreneurship training was provided in Gitega for 17 young entrepreneurs with business ideas from August 19th to September 25th 2019.
On August 30th 2019, IPROSARUDE organised an eye camp for Cataract Surgery in Kayanza. This activity was conducted in PEKA (Polyclinique Espoir de Kayanza), one of the clinics of IPROSARUDE.
As part of Menyumenyeshe Project, IPROSARUDE in partnership with Care International Burundi conducted a mass sensitization of youth in the provinces of Gitega, Muyinga, Kirundo, Kayanza, Bubanza, Cibitoke, Bujumbura and Bujumbura Mairie.
On June 29th, 2019 the Initiative for the Promotion of Rural Health and Development (IPROSARUDE) organized in Bubanza province a campaign in order to raise awareness and give health related informations to the youth of the locality of Cona. Four schools with 200 students belonging to the network of Cona supervised by the Menyumenyeshe program were present during the activity. The meeting was hosted by the health center’s chief alongside the Cona’s network president and IPROSARUDE’s provincial supervisor.
